Protein Shake Recipes For Bodybuilding Nutrition
However, consuming ready-made shakes and supplements can become boring, making it difficult to stick with a training diet for the long term. Trying new protein shake recipes can help.
Protein powders can be mixed with dozens of ingredients and flavorings to create rich smoothies and shakes that not only taste great, but provide ample nutrition. David Heber and Susan Bowerman, authors of the book “The L.A. Shape Diet” point out that it’s best to adjust shake recipes to suit your protein needs; most people need to consume a shake mix that provides at least 9 grams of protein before adding other proteins such as soy milk or skim milk. If you’re getting tired of your usual nutrition program, here are a few delicious protein shake recipes to try:
Banana Protein Shake: Mix together 30 grams of vanilla protein powder, 1 medium banana, 1 cup soy milk, 1 teaspoon golden syrup and 3 to 4 ice cubes in a blender. Add 2 tablespoons of vanilla yogurt and blend until smooth. This shake can be enjoyed as a meal replacement or consumed after workout for muscle repair and recovery.
Strawberry Nut Shake: Mix together 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder, 1 cup of low fat strawberry yoghurt, 1/4 cup sliced strawberries and 5-6 shredded macadamia nuts or pine nuts. Blend until smooth and enjoy as a snack or after a workout.

Chocolate Coffee Protein Shake: Mix together 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder, 1 cup of soy milk, 1 cup of water, 1 spoonful of instant coffee and 5-6 ice cubes in a medium blender. This protein powder shake recipe tastes a lot like the creamy, frozen concoctions available at the coffeeshop and can be consumed for breakfast, as a dessert, or as a snack between meals.
Wild Berry Protein Shake: Mix together 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder, 1/2 cup raspberries, 1/2 cup chopped strawberries, 1/2 cup blueberries and 1 cup of soy milk in a blender. Add a few ice cubes and blend until cubes are crushed. This frothy protein shake is a great pick-me-up in the late afternoon, and can also be enjoyed for breakfast or after a workout.
Peanut Butter Protein Shake: Mix together 2 scoops vanilla protein, 1 tablespoon butterscotch pudding mix, 1 tablespoon chunky peanut butter, 1 cup cold soy milk and 3-5 ice cubes in a blender until smooth. This is a very rich and sweet shake that can be a great addition to a high protein meal, or consumed as a snack between meals.
Oatmeal Cinnamon Protein Shake: Mix together 1 cup dry oatmeal, 2 scoops vanilla protein, 3 dashes of cinnamon, 12 oz. soy milk, 1 tablespoon chopped almonds and 2 tablespoons of sugar-free maple syrup in a blender until smooth. This thick shake is an excellent source of healthy carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats, and is best enjoyed as a meal replacement.
Pina Colada Protein Shake: Mix together 2 scoops vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup pineapple juice, 1/4 cup orange juice, 1/4 teaspoon each of rum and coconut extracts, 1 packet of artificial sweetener and 1/4 cup soy milk in a blender. Add 4-6 ice cubes to thicken and blend until smooth; serve immediately.

Tassimo Coffee Machines
When it comes to brew an entire cup of coffee, Tassimo is a wonderful solution. It’s as easy as 1 2 3. Just pull it out of the box, plug it in, fill it with fresh water, insert a T-Disc (Tassimo coffee pod) and press a button! In less than 1 minute, you will hold a fresh brewed cup of coffee. It compact size fits nicely on any countertop.
With measurements of 13 1/4″ x 8″ x 11″, you can place in the middle, pushed back to the side, or – and a personal favorite of many – tucked in a corner.
The Tassimo brews a cup of coffee so quickly it can be compared to instant coffee. But make no mistake here, it does taste like brewed coffee, no instant! There are many advantages to the newer models. One of them is the convenience of the power button and the filter change notice light right on the front of the coffee machine.
]]>
It is not only easy to use, but it offers a great variety of flavors and brands coffee. Looking for a short espresso or a cup of French Vanilla, you have the option. Conveniently, you can purchase the T-Discs from most mojor stores and even online.
If you purchase one from the Tassimo direct site, you can expect to pay around 0. If you look around, you’ll find this is a pretty decent price for this machine; especially in comparison with others in the same line. Regardless of where you shop, you should be able to get one for under 0. For some, these prices might be a bit steep, especially when compared to a normal coffee pot. However, this unit offers convenience and variety like nothing else you will find.
You no longer have to waste electricity, water, and coffee brewing more cups than you will drink. If you are one who buys coffee outside of the home, imagine how much you will safe when you can make your own ( – a day).
In my opinion, Braun’s Tassimo is a great product for any household. The initial price may be a bit of a shock, but it is worth it in the end; it will save you dollars and time. The convenience and variety of the t-discs will give you plenty to choose from for yourself, and when entertaining guests. Have the entire unit, along with T-Discs, shipped right to your house.
Hello world, Linda here. I am what you would call a coffee perfectionist. There isn’t a coffee maker, brand or flavor I haven’t tried! By taste test, I have determined that the Tassimo coffee maker makes the best.

Social Networking for Your Coffee Shop Part 2
So let’s get to part two of my social networking series for your shop or if you are starting a coffee shop business. It’s exciting to break into new areas of marketing. It has never been easier to market a business since the online world arrived and has evolved. Here are some more ideas for you:
How can I leave out Facebook? Today, there are so many people and companies using it to keep in touch and their name in front of people. I cannot think of a better way to do this. Some companies are opting to put more emphasis on Facebook rather than their company website as the latter is so limited now.
You can elect to build a ‘friend’ page or a ‘like’ page. The friend page will require you to approve anyone wanting to be friends while the like page will not require approval.
It is a good idea to keep personal and business as separate Facebook pages. This is good for obvious reasons but really a good idea as it increases your chances of circulation (you post, friends comment, their friends see it and comment) but also shows a level of professionalism as well. The best part of this is that friends will repost your post and if it’s interesting enough so will their friends.
Facebook is a great place to also promote your shop so customers can know when you have fresh roasted coffee in so they can buy coffee beans.
]]>
Of course, (to tweet is sweet!). Twitter is basically a short version of blogging because it is 140 characters or less to type. A popular thing is to tweet within your 140 characters enough information to redirect followers to your blog where the full story is. You can also redirect them to your website or Facebook. You can essentially post the same information to all places; your blog, Facebook, Twitter, and your website if you set it up right. There are ways to allow each site to collect and distribute the same information to the other. This is another area to stay focused on your business and its doings. Of course this works great even if you are about to open a coffee shop.
I recommend using your website as a base and when you update the site, then blog about what you did as well as a few other relevant things. Then update your Twitter and Facebook so all of these social networking platforms get the information on what you did. This will redirect people to your blog, and also to your site making a circle of marketing. As long as you create compelling information on all of your posts and sites, you will gain a network of followers.
What is great about Facebook is when you post, and one of your friends comments on it it will show on their friends pages and you have great potential to gain new customers this way to buy coffee beans or beverages so be relevant and stay on topic.
Foursquare
Foursquare is a location-based social networking service, mostly used via smartphone applications, though popular on the web. It allows registered users to connect with friends and update their location. Then, points are awarded for “checking in” at venues and users can choose to have their check-ins posted on their accounts on Twitter, Facebook or both. Users can also earn badges by checking in at locations with certain tags and eventually become mayor of the venue.
So why is Foursquare a marketing tool for my coffee shop you ask? Well, many businesses are now offering special deals to people who check-in via Foursquare. Starbucks recently inked a deal with them so customers can earn a “Barista badge” by checking in five times at a Starbucks location. The independent can do something similar by signing up as well like extra points for frequent buyers, free refills on drip or something else equally of value. If you are going to open a coffee shop this is a great way to promote grand opening specials.
Social networking is almost limitless and for the price (usually FREE!) you cannot afford to go without it. Next time we will round out the social networking talk with a few more ideas for your marketing strategies.

CoffeefromPanama.com Gourmet Coffee Beans of Panama Esmeralda Special Geisha coffee is the gold standard of geishas. Our 2010 lot is was picked in February and is called the Mario Carnaval. The Mario area of the farm in the Jaramillo region of Boquete produces the top ranking Esmeralda Special Geisha. It is from the same high altitude (1500-1650m) award-winning area of Mario in Jaramillo and not one of the new areas. As usual, much of this coffee was purchased at auction by European and Far East clients, so the quantity here in the US is very low. As such, La Esmeralda is available in very limited quantities! World’s #1 Coffee at the Specialty Coffee Assn. annual Coffee of the Year competition in 2005, 2006, 2007, and #2 in 2008, 2009 & 2010. Over 100 of the world’s best coffee enter this annual competition, and Panama’s Esmeralda Geisha (gesha varietal) has been taking it, and the world, by storm. It has also ranked #1 at the Best of Panama competition in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 & 2010 (not entered in 2008), and took #1 in the 2010 & 2009 Rainforest Alliance Cupping. Like no other coffee, the complex flavor of Esmeralda is often described as a coffee trying to be a tea. It smells like jasmine and coffee blossoms, with spectacular aromatic quality and hints of blackberry, mango, chocolate, nuts, lemon, and more. A “masterpiece” coffee by the Peterson family of Hacienda Esmeralda! www.youtube.com

Best Coffee (by origin, worldwide)
Now that we have learned almost everything about coffee, it’s time to decide what coffee is the best: top coffees grown in one region and chased-after all over the world.
So let’s begin from the coffees that you have already got acquainted with in our previous article Coffee origins.Every coffee from the same region has some distinctive features that make it different out of coffees from totally different geographical zones. However the coffees from one area keep their personal individuality and therefore contrast with one another.
By origin:
Latin America
Brazil – the country is the biggest coffee supplier in the universe however it cannot boast of some highest coffee quality. Still there is one type of coffee bean that comes from Sao Paolo suburb and named Santos due to the port it is exported. The coffee is famous for its pleasant smooth flavor, medium body and temperate acidity. However it is still far from the top specialty coffee from the universe.
Africa/Arabia
Ethiopia – the coffee here tastes different as in comparison to the Brazilian one and is far better. It is both highly prized and priced on the universal coffee market and though there are several coffee beans deserving coffee amateurs’ attention, still the best coffee from region was and still is Yigarchiffee or Sidamo in other words. The bean has a distinguishing floral smell, strong thick body, a wonderful aroma and smooth ripeness, in a class by itself.
]]>
Kenya – the best coffee from this country is Kenya AA grade which is very easy to find. This coffee is known for its strong thick body, flickering acidity, agreeable aroma and winy aftertaste with slight nuances of berries and citrus.
Tanzania – coffee from this African country is one of the most popular in the world. The best coffees produced in this region are Bourbon, Kents, Nyara and Blue Mountain. These coffees are highly appreciated all over the world and are distinct for their fine acidity and full flavor.
Yemen – though the only country from the Arabic region growing coffee, it isn’t behind other famous coffee producing regions and indulges us with one of the most popular coffee Yemen Mocha. It is distinct for its specific flavor and unique taste not found in any other world-wide coffee.
Pacific Asia
India – the best Indian coffee is considered to be the Monsooned Malabar bean. It has been discovered by chance when a watercraft charged with coffee beans transported them by sea to the Cape of Good Hope. Exposed to the sun and the monsooned winds, the beans have changed their taste becoming richer and smoother. The coffee is known for its heavy body, pungency and classy quality, chocolaty aroma and a little shrill taste.
Sumatra – the country is mostly known for its two most popular types of coffee: Lintong and Mandheling which are the market names for the high quality Sumatran coffees. Lintong name is used to describe coffees grown in a small zone southwest of Lake Toba in the district of Lintongnihuta. The coffee trees grow under the burning sun without being treated with any chemicals. Mandheling, in its turn, isn’t a name for a certain type of coffee bean; it is rather a common title for the Lintong coffee as well as for coffees grown under the same conditions in the regency of Diari, north of Lake Toba.
Sulawesi – the best coffee from this region is grown in Torajaland, near the upcountry town of Rantepao. The coffee trees are planted on small areas around the locals’ houses and the entire family takes part in growing, processing and selecting coffee. It is a commercial crop that feeds the entire village.
Papua New Guinea (PNG) – the most popular coffee crops grown here are Sigri and Arona. They are very well balanced with a fruity aroma and earthy body.
Worldwide:
Ethiopia – the Yirgacheffe coffee is the most popular bean from the region and is also very well-known by coffee connoisseurs from the whole world. It is famous for its saturated dark color and fruity hints.
Hawaii – The JavaBerry Black Estate Reserve is one of the most strongly recommended places to go to while visiting Hawaii. Kona Peaberry and Kona Extra Fancy will offer a full range of full flavor and smooth taste.
Nicaragua – the most popular coffee is Madriz which will be a welcoming beverage to your house. Is known for delicate but deep aroma, with floral hints and nuances of orange, peach along with some chocolate notes.
Sumatra – Indonesian coffee gets more and more expensive with years and especially because of the frequent tsunami. However, if the price doesn’t scare you at all, then you should definitely try the Organic Sumatra Reserve. It has a medium body with sweet chocolate hints and fruity shade along with thick aroma.

Coffee Delivery Services Provide a Great Way to Enjoy Coffee
What Type of Coffee Drinker uses Coffee Delivery Services?
There are almost as many different types of people who drink coffee as there are varieties of coffee beans themselves. There’s the connoisseur who spends hundreds of dollars for a pound of exotic coffee, and also shells out good money for shipping. Then there’s the coffee drinker who saves money buying coffee in bulk online, with the goal of saving money, not necessarily getting their favorite coffee. I’m somewhere in the middle of this spectrum. I like to treat myself with Kona Peaberry coffee from Hawaii. (If you’ve ever tried it, you’ll understand why I love it.) Even though I pay a little more to treat myself to this great coffee, I’m getting it at a good price since I drink it often and buy bulk.
]]>
Wherever you are on the coffee lover spectrum, if you crave a certain coffee like I do or you want to save money with bulk coffee, then there’s a coffee delivery service that will satisfy your needs.
Choosing between Coffee Delivery Services
Once you’ve identified your coffee needs, you can search the Internet to find which coffee delivery services will work for you. If you can, find a service close to you. This will reduce shipping costs and will shorten delivery times. The sooner the coffee gets to you, the fresher it will be.
If you find a coffee delivery service but aren’t sure which type of coffee to order, find out if the service has a sampler pack of different coffees. Another way to experiment with different coffees is through a coffee-of-the-month club, which will deliver a different coffee to you each month.
Brewing Coffee from Coffee Delivery Services
No matter which coffee delivery service you choose, the best way to get really fresh-tasting coffee is to have the coffee beans shipped to you and to grind them yourself. It’s worth the extra money to invest in a quality burr coffee grinder to grind you fresh beans right before you brew. Only grinding enough coffee for one pot at time is another way to ensure fresh-tasting coffee.
Once you’ve tried a couple of coffee delivery services and ground your fresh coffee beans, you’ll never go back to supermarket coffee again.
Damen Choy, editor of Bulk Coffee Direct Coffee-Bean-Direct.com provides timely information about the coffee market, as well as tips and ideas for coffee lovers and their friends. Visit switching to organic coffee beans to know the many benefits of buying orgainic coffee beans.

Do you know about Kopi Luwak Coffee?
Article by Anirban
Having a cup of coffee is anyone’s idea of unwinding ideally. Just one cup can evaporate all your fatigue, more so if the flavour is exclusive. If you have not tasted various flavours indigenous to Indonesia or Philippines, you apparently know very little about coffee and how to relish it. Such varieties are very expensive, thanks to their exclusivity and very limited production. In fact, the Kopi Luwak Coffee price just might surprise you; it’s being the costliest coffee in the world.
The coffee from Indonesian Archipelago is called Kopi Luwak Coffee. While Kopi means Coffee in local language, Luwak is the name of an Asian Civet found in the region. The cat-like animal is not found elsewhere in the world.
Also known as Philippine Civet Coffee, the popular exotic coffee is prepared in the weirdest of manner. The Civets found in Philippine tend to eat raw red coffee cherries. While the entire cherry is digested, the beans are defecated as it is by the cats. However, the excreted beans anyways pass through the digestive system of the Civet and hence get fermented inside their stomach. Such defecated beans are only meticulously collected by the locals and sold to the dealers, who in turn package it into Kopi Luwak Coffee.
The excellent aroma of the coffee does justice to the high Kopi Luwak Coffee price. So, whether you wish to try it out or relish it again and again; you can always order the exotic Philippine Civet coffee online through one of the websites specialising in exotic/rare coffee varieties supply.
As you would search for Philippine Civet Coffee, you would realise that different websites offer different Kopi Luwak Coffee price. This is because barring a few; others procure the stock of this exotic variety with the help of a middleman. This is why the price of coffee with them is much higher than few select websites. So, you must try to find such dealers who maintain the quality stock of Kopi Luwak and Kona Hawaii minus the mediators. This way, you always buy the quality coffee variety for a reasonable price.
